Diego Pineda is a multimedia journalist for The Venice Current.
Before joining The Venice Current, he worked as an Entertainment Apprentice at The Marketing Arm where he kept track of trends and news in the entertainment industry. A graduate from Elon University, Diego began his career as a Production Assistant at the New York Post. He is originally from Guatemala but grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Angela was born and raised in West Los Angeles, and began her journalism career at 16 as the editor of The Wasteland, a punk rock fanzine. As an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, she edited 10 Watts, the program guide of campus radio station, KALX (where she was also a disc jockey). After a two year stint in the Professional Writer's Program at USC, she was for eight years the Administrative Assistant for The Archives of General Psychiatry. She spent 16 years as a web developer at the School of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA. Now retired from coding, she has been a Venice resident since 2014, and until last year covered the Venice Neighborhood Council for the Venice Update.
Shaena is a lifestyle contributor for the Venice Current. Shaena is based in Los Angeles and has over sixteen years experience as a writer, including writing travel articles, restaurant reviews, lifestyle articles, chef interviews and a monthly food news section on new openings, events and product launches, travel and drink stories for The Daily Meal. Shana has written three published books, The Best Places to Kiss in Southern California (Beginning Press) Cheap Bastard's Guide to Las Vegas, (Globe Pequot Press) and Silver Linings: Triumphs of the Chronically Ill and Physically Challenged (Prometheus Books) and teamed with Apple to create The Best Places to Kiss in LA iphone app.
